The remaining three roommates had already started getting up one by one. Someone came over and knocked on his bed, indicating that it was getting late. They knocked twice, and the sound was particularly crisp.

Xu Fang responded with a low “yes” and sat on his bed, feeling at a loss. He absentmindedly scratched his head and then, with a strange expression, typed in the reply box: ?When you cried, I almost thought I had a sudden death in my dream.?

But before he could send it, he suddenly noticed the timestamp of the voice message.

3:30 AM.

A nightmare?

Quickly, he deleted all his previous messages and replaced them with a more conventional response: ?Got it.?

Lin Xiche was the kind of person who rarely cried, but when she did, she couldn’t stop easily. So, after crying last night, she stayed on the balcony until it was almost dawn before returning to the dormitory.

She had suppressed her voice forcibly most of the time, except for the last sentence she couldn’t hold back.

She didn’t want to wake up her roommates.

Worried that her eyes might be swollen in the morning, Lin Xiche even used a towel dipped in warm water to soothe her eyes. However, despite her efforts, her eyes still appeared somewhat red. Due to lack of sleep, there were bloodshot veins in her eyes. She applied makeup a bit heavier than usual, but it couldn’t hide her tired appearance.

Lin Xiche had a full schedule today. She had classes in the morning and afternoon, with a break in between, but she had evening self-study from 8:30 to 10:00 PM. After self-study, she had a small meeting to attend with the sports department in the cafeteria.

Except for the time between the end of afternoon classes and 8:30 PM, her schedule was packed.
