Upon hearing these two names, Xu Miyu felt that a person’s personality could indeed be influenced by their names.

Duan Aoxiang sounded a bit unrestrained, while Ji Feng seemed to fit the name of a domineering CEO in a romantic drama.

To avoid making Ko Wenxue’s words fall awkwardly on the floor, Xu Miyu quickly asked a question she wasn’t actually curious about.

“Why are these two people to be avoided?”

Ko Wenxue enthusiastically began, “Because both of them are extremely difficult to serve! Ji Feng, just by appearance, is genuinely handsome, on an unbeatable level. A tall figure of 1.85 meters, impeccable physique, and facial features that, whether looked at separately or together, can only be described with two words—good-looking! Let’s not talk about anything else; just his eyes are extraordinary, you know!”

Fearing the disease of dampening others’ enthusiasm, Xu Miyu quickly asked, “Ah… how are his eyes extraordinary?”

Ko Wenxue, not waiting for a response, continued, “His eyes are just perfect, making your heart skip a beat when he looks at you directly. Inner corners with a charming groove, the kind many male and female celebrities achieve only after undergoing eye surgery to lift the inner corners. The outer corners slightly tilt upward, creating a combination of coldness and sensuality! When he looks at you directly, it feels like he’s stealing your soul. Even though you might think he’s disdainful, he’s ridiculously sexy. If those eyes glance at you sideways, oh, that’s it—genuine captivating gaze, both aloof and seductive!”

Xu Miyu listened, feeling a bit stunned. She had never heard such an extensive description of a man’s appearance. She thought Yin Xiang could easily write romance novels with such vivid descriptions.

Ko Wenxue approved of Yin Xiang’s portrayal but added a touch of criticism, “Don’t just focus on the good side. Yes, Ji Feng is handsome, broad nose, full forehead, thin and sexy lips, and those eyes are truly extraordinary. But dealing with him is difficult!”

She turned to emphasize to Xu Miyu, “He’s really difficult. His mouth is exceptionally picky, and he’ll only eat the meals made by the head chef, Chef Chen. If anyone else cooks, it’s not allowed. According to my colleagues in the dining department, he chooses to stay here because he’s such a picky eater and can only eat what Chef Chen makes.”

Xu Miyu softly commented, “Being picky about food is one thing, isn’t it?”

Ko Wenxue waved her hand, “That’s not his only quirk. Besides being picky about food, he has a cleanliness obsession. Nobody can touch him, and it’s as if you’ll dirty him if you touch him even a bit. Not only can’t you touch him, but you also can’t touch his things. Even though you’re here to clean his room, you can’t touch anything. How do you tidy up like that? If you can’t tidy up, he’ll give you a cold look, as if you’re negligent. Those eyes of his, good-looking and charming as they are, are genuinely toxic!”

Yin Xiang eagerly added, “Exactly! If he looks at you with a scrutinizing gaze, even if you haven’t done anything wrong, his eyes, scanning from those slightly tilted eyes, can make you feel utterly exposed, as if you’ve been caught doing something shameful. If he looks at you with those eyes, you’ll feel so embarrassed that you’d wish for a place to hide.”

Ko Wenxue chimed in, “It’s like he can see through all your thoughts and tricks with those eyes. He coldly observes, waiting to see how you’ll perform until you can’t continue pretending. You’ll be left feeling embarrassed and ashamed of your thoughts and tricks!”

So frightening, Xu Miyu thought.

Such a man is terrifying; anyone in his presence would live transparently.

“Xu Jie, think about it. Such difficult men, even if they are handsome and wealthy, what’s the point? Nobody wants to go and serve them. It’s better to chat and relax on our own floor,” Ko Wenxue concluded, raising a soul-searching question.

Xu Miyu thought, even if they weren’t difficult, she wouldn’t want to serve such people. They were like two worlds—ordinary people living below, and they, high above, looking down on ordinary people.

“As for the other one, Duan Aoxiang,” Ko Wenxue continued with her gossip, completing one and not forgetting the other, “he’s even more difficult to handle. He’s like a live target, and he has a waist fetish, liking slender girls. He often pesters female staff to drink with him. If they refuse, he finds various excuses to complain, claiming the service is unsatisfactory. Also, he genuinely only teases female staff, no real intentions. He won’t take a liked female staff member to his luxurious abode like Wu Zong did before.”

Ko Wenxue caught her breath and summed it up for Xu Miyu, “So, Xu Jie, you see, these two seemingly top-quality men, one can’t be touched, and the other teases without genuine intentions. No matter how handsome and wealthy they are, what’s the use? People have no expectations, so who would willingly go and serve them? It’s better to relax and chat on our own floor.”

Ko Wenxue, having spilled all the gossip about the top-floor VIPs, exchanged glances with the other two.

Then, Yin Xiang immediately said, “My stomach hurts. I need to go to the bathroom!” and ran off.

Ko Wenxue, seeing Yin Xiang seizing the opportunity, felt a bit anxious. Quickly following suit, she said, “I think there might be a problem with dinner. My stomach and intestines are rumbling… Xu Jie, I also need to go to the bathroom. I’m sorry!”

She finished by pretending to clutch her stomach, briskly running away as well.

Listening to their footsteps echoing in the corridor, Xu Miyu shook her head.

They didn’t have to do this. They could have simply said, “Xu Jie, you go, I don’t want to go.” This would have sufficed.

In the end, Xu Miyu went to the office of the floor supervisor, Zhang Cailu. Unlike the others, she didn’t have a strong aversion to serving the two VIPs who were considered difficult and “hopeless.”

Now, no matter the task, it was just a job to make ends meet for her. She was just a living corpse striving to make ends meet.

After reporting to Zhang Cailu, Xu Miyu waited by the elevator, ready to be escorted to the top floor by the suite housekeeper.

In the elevator, besides her, there were two other service staff from different floors.

When everyone was assembled, the elevator continued its ascent, and the suite housekeeper quickly asked Xu Miyu and the others, “During the orientation training, you should have been informed about the service standards for top-floor VIPs, right?”

Xu Miyu and the others nodded together.

“Then just follow what was taught during training,” the housekeeper said at a rapid pace. Thinking Xu Miyu might be nervous about going to the top floor, she reassured, “Don’t be nervous. Whatever you see or hear up there, don’t be surprised. Don’t give the impression that you’ve never seen the world. You don’t need to directly interact with the people upstairs. Your main job is to help with hygiene at any time, and I’ll handle personal matters.”

As the elevator doors opened again, Xu Miyu felt like she had stepped into another world.

It was a world of luxury, indulgence, and stimulation of the senses—a world of material desires created by money. A world where the so-called upper-class people played together.

Facing her was a luxurious and spacious suite, with wide double doors inviting her inside. Looking into the room, the grandeur seemed to turn into a force, pressing toward Xu Miyu.

The living room beyond the entrance was a huge semicircle, the entire arc covered with floor-to-ceiling windows. The city’s brilliant night colors surged outside the windows, and inside, an isolated atmosphere of extravagance and debauchery pervaded. The ceiling resembled a dome, imposing and oppressive. Spotlights on the ceiling emitted a flickering light, creating an ambiguous atmosphere amid the lively conversations. The room was in disarray, with people coming and going, holding glasses of red wine, champagne, or whiskey.

A party was in full swing, and most faces carried a hint of red. Judging from their extravagant gestures and loud speeches, they had already consumed a considerable amount of alcohol. The room was filled with their boisterous spirit and the destruction caused by those who had imbibed too much. In the large living room, whether on the carpet or the marble floor, chaos reigned.

It was undeniably luxurious, noisy, and messy.

The suite housekeeper led Xu Miyu and the other two into the foyer and immediately assigned tasks to them. It seemed like she had already planned their roles based on their situations in the elevator. The youngest was to stay in the large living room where the party was happening, the slightly older one was tasked with tidying up the various suite rooms, and Xu Miyu, being the oldest among them, was assigned to clean all the bathrooms.

As soon as the tasks were assigned, the housekeeper’s phone started ringing. Apologizing profusely, she answered and hurriedly assured, “The guests have arrived; I’ll tidy up immediately!” She then urged Xu Miyu to quickly start working on cleaning the bathroom in the living room, as the guests were becoming impatient.

As Xu Miyu received her task, she felt like she caught a quick but sympathetic glance from the other two people.

She didn’t have time to comprehend it, nor did she want to waste energy understanding it. She couldn’t summon any emotional strength for anything. She walked almost numbly towards the bathroom with the highest usage in the large living room.

Passing by a set of leather sofas, one of the sofas had legs lazily crossed, and the trousers on those legs were impeccably straight, with a particularly unique style of black leather shoes beneath them, appearing to be custom-made.

Xu Miyu’s gaze only passed by these shoes for a moment, without lifting her eyes to look at the owner of the shoes.

She entered the bathroom with her tools.

The bathroom was also in a suite style, with a separate makeup area next to the toilet and shower areas.

As soon as she entered the bathroom, Xu Miyu immediately understood why the other two people had given her sympathetic glances.

The toilet in the bathroom, where the drunken revelers had vomited, was in a messy state. It no longer resembled the appearance of a five-star hotel toilet. Whether in terms of visual impact or the torture to the sense of smell, it was unbearable.

Looking at the toilet already covered in vomit, Xu Miyu held her breath, put on rubber gloves, and walked up with determination.

Ji Feng sat on the sofa, watching the extravagance and noise in the room with cold eyes.

Duan Aoxiang had said he would introduce a Thai businessman for business discussions and had specially booked the suite next to him for this purpose.

The businessman arrived as agreed, but to Ji Feng’s surprise, he was not the only one being entertained in the suite.

He had initially intended to leave immediately but was persistently persuaded by Duan Aoxiang, who threw out an enticing olive branch: “Old Ji! Give your buddy some face, old Ji. Just stay here with your buddy for a while, okay? I’ve arranged for the Thai guy, he’s just landed and on his way here, will be here soon! You know, that Thai guy likes to party, so I arranged this welcome for him. I know you don’t like having pretty girls accompanying you to drink and relieve stress; tonight, I’ve invited mostly middle-aged men. Look, the party I organized tonight is low-key enough, right?”

Ji Feng glanced at his watch and said only one thing, “Half an hour.”

Duan Aoxiang accurately understood his meaning: he would only stay here for the last half hour. If the other party didn’t arrive within half an hour, he would leave immediately.

Duan Aoxiang quickly said, “No problem, no problem!” After that, he gestured for Ji Feng to sit on a sofa in a secluded corner, knowing that Ji Feng disliked socializing with unrelated people.

Then he went into the nearest bathroom. Seeing the toilet in a chaotic state due to the vomiting, he lost interest in using it. Grabbing the phone, he shouted at the suite housekeeper, “Where are the staff? This bathroom is almost turning into a cesspool; come and clean it up!” After shouting, he went to the adjoining makeup area, where a couple was kissing. After shooing them away with a smile, he started making calls in the makeup area, urging those on their way to arrive within half an hour.

While making the call in the makeup area, Xue Rui was outside, sighing about the woman who had just walked past them, lowering her head.

“Boss, did you see that woman who just walked past?” Sitting on a chair behind Ji Feng’s sofa, Xue Rui leaned forward, speaking to Ji Feng.

The noise in the room was too loud, so he raised his voice more than usual.

“It seems she was deceived by that scammer, thinking she was making an investment but ended up losing all her money. Just didn’t expect her to end up so pitiful, becoming a waitress here after falling for the scam.”

He left a pause for Ji Feng to respond, but Ji Feng didn’t pay him any attention.

So he continued talking.

“It’s really lamentable. Back then, she was also a guest enjoying the services in this hotel. How the tides have turned; she has become a waitress serving the guests here. I don’t know why, maybe because her change in fortune is too stark, I can’t help but feel a bit sorry for her.”

According to the usual routine, Ji Feng wouldn’t respond to him during these moments, and after the monologue, Ji Feng would coldly warn him that if he continued to talk so much, he would be replaced as his assistant.

He was already prepared for the warning. However, this time, Ji Feng unexpectedly responded to his rambling, his tone filled with disdain.

“Does she need your sympathy? Anyone who can come to this level to work as a waitress has some ability and skills. Instead of worrying about her, you should worry about whether your boss will replace you for talking too much.”

Xue Rui shrank his shoulders. Although he had heard this threat countless times, hearing it again gave him a sudden cold feeling in his back.

He thought it must be because Ji Feng was too much of an ice-cold demon.

“True,” Xue Rui said, calming his fear of losing his job due to talking too much. “Speaking of the waitress who rushed in to tidy up your room earlier, she saw that she couldn’t open the situation here, so she immediately turned to Wu Zong and opened up the situation there. I heard she resigned from here last week and was taken back by Wu Zong. They are already living together in a happy life.”

Ji Feng heard this and turned his head slightly, a mocking smile appearing on one side of his mouth. “You know a lot about useless things.”

That sarcastic and mocking smile made Xue Rui shudder, feeling as if a cold wind was blowing behind him.

In the next moment, amid the noise, they both seemed to hear a woman’s scream coming from the bathroom.

And in the current bathroom, it seemed like there was only that woman.
