Ever since Ji Feng told Xue Rui not to pay attention to the commotion in the bathroom, Xue Rui obediently suppressed all curiosity, keeping his buttocks firmly nailed to the stool.

He watched quietly as a stream of people continued to enter the bathroom, wondering in his mind what was happening inside and why so many people were going in without any hurry to come out.

The woman inside, with the situation unknown, and all the people going in being friends of Duan Aoxiang, would she be at a disadvantage in there?

In the height of his imagination, he felt a figure swaying in front of him.

When he refocused, he saw Ji Feng standing up from the sofa.

He quickly stood up as well, eagerly inquiring, “Boss, please have a seat. If you have any orders, I can run errands for you.”

Ji Feng glanced at him, his voice chilly, “I need to use the toilet. Can you do that for me too?”

“…”

Xue Rui was stuck.

Then he saw Ji Feng heading towards the bathroom where the screams had just come from. He quickly reminded Ji Feng, who had covered three meters with his long legs in the blink of an eye, “Boss, that bathroom is full of people, and it’s not cleaned up yet. Why not use the one in the suite…”

Before he could finish, Ji Feng, without waiting for his complete words, impatiently interrupted, “Far, tired.”

Xue Rui paused, realizing that Ji Feng meant the other bathrooms were too far, and he couldn’t be bothered to walk all the way there; it was too tiring.

But inside this one, there were so many people, both male and female. Wouldn’t it be tiring to drive them all out?

He quickly added, “I’ll accompany you and help you…” help you drive people out.

But before he could finish, Ji Feng’s icy voice nailed his feet to the ground, “Since when do I need you to watch when I go to the toilet?”

Xue Rui stood still, realizing he had forgotten this aspect. His boss was not just fastidious; he was also reclusive. Ordinary things like going to the bathroom together, a testimony to deep friendship, would never happen with him.

Just as he had said before, he couldn’t imagine waking up one morning to find someone with eye crust and bad breath lying next to him. He thought it was a nightmare worse than a bad dream.

Thanks to excessive cleanliness and perfectionism, he remained single till now, and he made his mother deeply fearful that although he had not severed the family line, he might end up childless because of this “line.”

Xue Rui’s thoughts were diverging when he suddenly saw the door of the bathroom struggling, as if it were a portal, transporting everyone who had just entered out one by one, even Duan Aoxiang was sent out.

Wait a moment, the woman who had gone in earlier with unclear screams also emerged.

Xue Rui looked at the door of the bathroom, feeling like he was witnessing a brand new unsolved mystery.

His boss actually let laziness overcome his cleanliness and went into a bathroom that wasn’t neatly arranged.

Not long after, Ji Feng also came out. There was almost a hint of disgust on his face, with an element of anger, as if he was angry with himself for entering such an impure bathroom.

Xue Rui hurriedly went up and eagerly asked, “Boss, nothing happened in there just now, right?”

He looked at Ji Feng’s slightly raised eye corner, quickly tasting the emotions hidden inside, besides disgust and anger, he always felt there was something else.

What was it? Was it annoyance at himself for meddling too much?

“What could happen?” Ji Feng’s answer was not very amiable.

Xue Rui, a bit quicker with his mouth than his brain, directly said, “Boss, actually, did you find Duan’s behavior unbearable and went to help that girl out?”

As soon as he finished speaking, he received Ji Feng’s icy glare.

“If you don’t want your loose tongue, you can sew it shut. If you have delusions, go to the hospital for treatment. If you don’t want to do the assistant’s job, you can roll.”

Xue Rui immediately fell silent.

The eye knives from Ji Feng just now were too terrifying; he felt like he had been stabbed to death.

After coming out of the bathroom, Xu Miyu wanted to leave, to escape from this place that looked glamorous but was actually full of foul air. However, Duan Aoxiang didn’t let her go and threatened her to lose her job.

Xu Miyu wanted to ask the housekeeper for help, but the housekeeper, because of the inexplicable extra task of cleaning the dirty bathroom, was now harboring a grudge against Xu Miyu, almost wishing she could be troubled a bit more. So, she not only didn’t speak up for Xu Miyu but also acted as Duan Aoxiang’s accomplice, intimidating Xu Miyu that Duan Aoxiang indeed had the ability to make her lose her job with just a word.

Xu Miyu couldn’t afford to lose her job. This job was now a lifeline for her survival, and she had to hold onto it tightly.

With no choice and no way out, she had to obey Duan Aoxiang’s orders.

Duan Aoxiang also unapologetically used Xu Miyu for retaliatory tasks.

Wherever he went, he made Xu Miyu follow him, constantly ordering her to pour drinks, wipe this and that.

Taking advantage of the fact that the Thai partners had not yet arrived, he intentionally called a group of people to gather around him, loudly saying, “Come, come, everyone has been having fun on their own for half a day; it’s time to have a drink together!”

Ji Feng sat next to him on the sofa, making it clear with his tightly knit brows that he wouldn’t participate in this activity.

Duan Aoxiang didn’t force him; as long as Ji Feng didn’t leave immediately, it was giving him face. He didn’t dare to ask for too much.

He played with the others.

Sitting on the sofa, leaning back like a big master, he ordered Xu Miyu, “You, yes, you; and you, go get us some drinks. We’re going to have a drink together.”

In his quest, he surveyed a total of over ten people. He enumerated more than ten types of drinks, instructing, “Fetch me a glass of brandy, temperature not exceeding 18 degrees; two glasses of champagne, temperature not exceeding 8 degrees; a glass of white wine at 7 degrees Celsius, a glass of 1997 Burgundy red wine… and two glasses of whiskey, one without ice and one with ice. For the one without ice, add ginger juice, and for the one with ice, add soda water.”

With diverse glasses and intentionally intricate instructions, he threatened Xu Miyu with a warning: “If you dare bring me the wrong drink, I will complain to your supervisor about your poor professional conduct!”

Unfazed by his attempts to intimidate her, Xu Miyu, with an expressionless face, silently cursed Duan Aoxiang in her mind. She turned to fetch the drinks, meticulously arranging them on a tray as per his demands.

Duan Aoxiang had prepared for the inevitable mistake by that someone. He was eager to see her cry and beg him desperately. If she didn’t beg him pitifully tonight, he would seize upon this mistake and torment her relentlessly.

Women who displeased him, especially those on the top floor, could only expect a tragic outcome.

“I want to see how many drinks she can get right!” He turned to Ji Feng, raising his eyebrows and winking.

Ji Feng glanced at him with a cold gaze, icy enough to dampen Duan Aoxiang’s enthusiasm.

Shortly after, Xu Miyu returned with the tray.

Her slender arms, seemingly frail, held the tray steadily with over a dozen different drinks. Placing the tray in front of Duan Aoxiang, he gave it a glance and began taunting, “If I find you’ve brought the wrong one, you’re in big trouble!”

Upon his second look, he stood up abruptly from the sofa.

Approaching the tray, he carefully inspected each drink, but to his surprise, he found that none were incorrect. The types were right, the temperatures were as requested, and even the additions of ice, ginger juice, or soda water were accurate.

“You’re quite sly. Did you record everything?” Duan Aoxiang, now a bit flustered, asked his assistant named Ani.

Ani, accustomed to such situations, quickly pulled out his phone and handed it to Duan Aoxiang with the recorded audio. Duan Aoxiang meticulously checked each condition he had added earlier and realized that the drinks brought by that someone were flawless.

“You are cunning! Did you record this? Did you bring your phone to work during office hours? Come here, let me search you!” Duan Aoxiang, fueled by alcohol, was about to search Ani.

Ignoring his threats, Xu Miyu remained composed. As Duan Aoxiang advanced, ready to search Ani, she instinctively stepped back.

Inebriated and agitated, Duan Aoxiang snapped, “Come on, why are you dodging? I’m just checking your phone; it’s not like I’m interested in you with your unattractive, disheveled appearance!”

He proceeded to grab Xu Miyu’s arm.

Resisting, she insisted that she didn’t bring her phone and suggested involving her supervisor if necessary. Ignoring her pleas and seizing her arm, Duan Aoxiang’s actions escalated.

Observing the scene, Ji Feng’s voice cut through, cold and disdainful, “That’s enough.”

Duan Aoxiang halted, sitting back on the sofa. Xu Miyu, realizing that Ji Feng had intervened, felt a mix of relief and confusion.

Ji Feng, with a touch of impatience, remarked to Duan Aoxiang, “Nearly done.”

Duan Aoxiang ceased his actions, sitting back. Xu Miyu glanced at Ji Feng, who, despite his remarkable looks, exuded disdain. She pondered on Ko Wenxue’s accurate assessment of him.

Lowering her head, she heard Ji Feng’s displeased tone, “Is it entertaining to provoke someone so dull? Release her! What are you doing, pretending to be smart? Go and keep your guest from leaving; it’s been half an hour since you said they were coming soon.”

Duan Aoxiang, anxious to keep Ji Feng around, attempted to stop him from leaving. However, Xu Miyu, positioned in front of the sofa, unintentionally blocked his path. The combination of alcohol and her resistance resulted in Duan Aoxiang stumbling.

This situation escalated as Duan Aoxiang sat on the floor, berating Xu Miyu for her interference.

Faced with the chaotic scene, Duan Aoxiang urged Xu Miyu to go and detain Ji Feng, promising to let the earlier incident go if she succeeded.

Caught off guard by the words “Go,” Xu Miyu instinctively moved, rushing to Ji Feng and tugging at his sleeve.

This action, a tactic she used in the past to pacify Nie Yucheng, was intended to convey her plea—please don’t leave.

However, Ji Feng, looking down at her, displayed clear disgust and demanded, “Who gave you permission to touch me? Let go!”

Feeling the chill in his gaze, she released his sleeve instantly. “Sorry” spilled from her lips like a torrent.

The arrival of footsteps at the door interrupted this awkward encounter.

Finally, the awaited distinguished guests had arrived.
