Chapter 49 – “Bringing Back Liang Jieran”:

Yang Shikun was ordering Hao Ming to clean his desk when he turned and saw something through the window. Wow. Was Brother Si that bold? Already hugging?

Jiang Qian knew nothing good would come from his mouth, so she ignored him.

Xu Si noticed her red ear tips: “Alright, I’ll stop teasing you. Let’s clean the windows.”

“Mr. Liang, hello. I’m here to take Liang Jieran back.”

Liang Zhengzhi faced the suited man, his face red with anger: “No. Tell that Beigo woman Shen Yuchun she’ll never see Ranran in this lifetime.”

Wang Jinjin just smiled: “Mr. Liang, you should know by now that your son with Miss Shen has been legally awarded to her custody.”

He handed over the court’s final ruling. Liang Zhengzhi glanced at it, tore it to pieces, and cursed: “Get out! Liang Jieran is my son, what right do you have to take him?”

Wang Jinjin maintained his polite smile: “Mr. Liang, as I said, the child has been awarded to Miss Shen. My job is to inform you and take the young master.”

Wang Jinjin was Xu Hengyu’s personal lawyer of over ten years. Having dealt with all sorts of difficult people, he’d developed unshakeable composure.

“Young master? Already calling him young master? Is Shen Yuchun with that dog of a man now?”

Wang Jinjin licked his lips and explained seriously: “Mr. Liang, you should understand – you and Miss Shen are divorced. She’s single, and who she’s with is none of your business. Besides, wasn’t the divorce due to your affair? Also, our CEO isn’t a ‘dog’ – he has a name.”

He handed over Xu Hengyu’s business card.

Liang Zhengzhi took it and read the name. Damn. Wasn’t this the rival company causing them trouble lately? No wonder the name seemed familiar.

Liang Zhengzhi tried closing the door to dismiss his visitor. Wang Jinjin blocked it: “Mr. Liang, please send out young master Liang first.”

“You’re disrupting my life. Want me to report you for breaking and entering?”

“You know I just want to take the young master. Once you send him out, I won’t bother you again.” Wang Jinjin added, “I haven’t illegally entered your home, seriously disrupted your normal life or living safety, nor damaged or removed your belongings. Legally, this isn’t breaking and entering.”

Liang Zhengzhi grabbed a decoration by the door and smashed it against Wang Jinjin’s forehead.

Wang Jinjin touched his bleeding forehead.

Liang Zhengzhi cursed: “Leave! Come again and I’ll have you beaten. Believe me?”

Liang Jieran appeared from upstairs: “Uncle, did mommy send you to get Ranran?”

Seeing Liang Jieran, Liang Zhengzhi yelled at the butler: “Useless! Can’t even watch one child! Take him back up!”

Sun Mingyan moved to hold Liang Jieran: “Ranran, don’t run around. Let’s go upstairs with butler uncle, okay?”

Liang Jieran cried in his arms: “I don’t want to go upstairs! I want mommy! I want mommy!”

Liang Zhengzhi’s head hurt from the crying: “Cry, cry, cry! That’s all you do! What are you crying about?”

Liang Jieran cried harder: “Mommy! I want mommy! Bad daddy! Ranran doesn’t want bad daddy!”

Liang Jieran struggled in Sun Mingyan’s arms, knocking his glasses askew. The butler dared not complain.

Wang Jinjin addressed Liang Zhengzhi: “Mr. Liang, please step aside. We’re taking the young master.”

Liang Zhengzhi blocked the door: “This is my home. What right do you have to enter?”

Wang Jinjin said “Excuse me” and signaled his burly bodyguards: “Move him aside.”

Two massive bodyguards immediately restrained Liang Zhengzhi.

Liang Zhengzhi shouted: “Where are my bodyguards? Are you all useless? Where are the bodyguards?”

Wang Jinjin smiled: “They’re all outside.”

He walked in, surveyed the area, and told Sun Mingyan: “Put the child down.”

Sun Mingyan knew when to yield and released Liang Jieran.

Crying, Liang Jieran ran to hug Wang Jinjin’s leg: “You’re here to take Ranran to mommy, right?”

Wang Jinjin patted his head gently: “Yes, Miss Shen sent me.”

He took Liang Jieran and his daily necessities.

Wang Jinjin smiled politely at Liang Zhengzhi: “Mr. Liang, I’m taking the child now. Sorry for the disturbance.”

“F*ck you, leave Ranran here!”

Wang Jinjin closed the door with another smile.

Shen Yuchun’s eyes reddened seeing Liang Jieran’s tear-stained face. She hugged him: “Ranran, mommy’s here to get you.”

Liang Jieran buried himself in her embrace, even forgetting his toy.

Mother and son shared a tender moment.

Xu Hengyu watched silently.

Liang Jieran noticed him and tugged Shen Yuchun’s sleeve: “Mommy, who’s this uncle?”

Shen Yuchun realized she’d forgotten to introduce Xu Hengyu while talking to Liang Jieran. She brushed her bangs: “Ranran, this is Uncle Xu. Thanks to him, mommy could see you again.”

Liang Jieran said obediently: “Hello, uncle.”

Xu Hengyu looked at the child who was seventy percent Shen Yuchun’s image, his eyes softening: “Hello, little Ran. It’s hot outside – you and Yuchun get in the car first. The AC is on.”

Shen Yuchun nodded: “Okay, okay, let’s get in the car, Ranran.”

“Mommy, where are we going? Back to our old home?”

Shen Yuchun paused – she’d been staying at Xu Hengyu’s and hadn’t thought about where to take her child.

“Stay at my place for now. It’s convenient, and usually empty,” Xu Hengyu said, then looked at Shen Yuchun, “If you want to work, I’ve arranged everything.”

After a moment’s silence, Shen Yuchun said: “Thank you.”
