Chapter 67: Right, Si-ge?

October 12th. Sports Day.

Shen Mo looked Jiang Qiao up and down, surprised: “You’re just wearing your school uniform to compete?”

Jiang Qiao nodded: “Yes.”

“Too plain, it’s wasting your pretty face.”

Jiang Qiao smiled: “The uniform is fine.”

After a moment of silence, Shen Mo said: “The opening ceremony hasn’t started yet, come with me to the changing room.”

“Okay.”

Shen Mo had prepared two dresses, one white and one red. She took off her uniform jacket and handed it to Jiang Qiao: “Hold this for me.”

Jiang Qiao nodded obediently: “Okay.”

Shen Mo, already wearing light makeup, tried on the red dress first, which immediately caught the eye. She asked Jiang Qiao: “How is it?”

Jiang Qiao nodded seriously: “Beautiful.”

Shen Mo tried on the white one: “And this?”

“Also beautiful, but the red one suits you better.”

Shen Mo’s features were bright and vivid, more suited to the red dress.

Holding the white dress, she looked at Jiang Qiao: “Try this one, it’s new, I just tried it on.”

“Me?”

“Yes, try it quickly.” Shen Mo pushed the dress into Jiang Qiao’s hands and nudged her into the changing room.

After a while, Jiang Qiao emerged. She had naturally sweet and pure features, stunning even without makeup. Her obedient ponytail, slender neck, and the dress length just below her knees revealed her delicate white calves.

Shen Mo looked at her for a while, then said seriously: “Don’t wear the uniform, wear this.”

Jiang Qiao looked down at the dress: “Is it okay?”

Shen Mo nodded enthusiastically: “Perfect, you don’t even need lipstick.”

You Li pulled Chen’an’s arm excitedly: “Chen’an, Chen’an, look at that girl in the red dress, she’s pretty. Is she from Sixth High or our school?”

“Chen’an?”

That white figure unexpectedly caught Chen’an’s eye.

“Holy crap, that girl in the white dress is incredible, she’s like a fairy!”

You Li’s eyes were fixed on her.

Chen’an came back to his senses and said to You Li: “I’ve seen her before.”

You Li was confused: “Who? Who have you seen?”

Chen’an kept looking in the direction of the white dress: “Met her at the bookstore.”

You Li immediately understood, his curiosity peaked: “Which one? Which one is it?”

“White dress.”

You Li: “It’s a rival, draw your sword!”

Yang Shikun saw Jiang Qiao in the white dress: “Si-ge, Si-ge, look at Scholar Jiang, wow, she’s really the face of our class!”

Xu Si made a sound of acknowledgment.

He had already noticed Jiang Qiao. She wore the white dress, sweet and obedient. The white dress suited her perfectly.

Xu Si’s gaze lingered on her, unwilling to look away. He heard many people around asking who the girl in the white dress was.

The little traditionalist was quite popular. Attracting quite a few admirers.

“Who’s that girl in the white dress? From Sixth High? She’s exactly my type, I must get her contact info.”

“Probably from Sixth High, we would have seen her if she was from our school.”

“I want to transfer to Sixth High too.”

For some reason, Yang Shikun felt Xu Si’s expression had grown colder. Why was that?

After the formation finished, Shen Mo went to Jiang Qiao, speaking proudly: “Come on, let’s go change.”

Before they reached the changing room, several boys blocked their path.

“Can we get your WeChat?”

Jiang Qiao politely declined: “No, thank you.”

As the boys tried to say more, Shen Mo pulled Jiang Qiao behind her, speaking fiercely: “Don’t you have your own WeChat? Why ask for others’?”

She pulled Jiang Qiao away, leaving the boys looking at each other awkwardly.

Jiang Qiao looked at Shen Mo’s expressionless face and softly said: “Thank you.”

“No need to thank me.”

Jiang Qiao smiled, her eyes curving. Though Shen Mo seemed temperamental, she was actually a very cute girl.

Seeing her smile, Shen Mo spoke gruffly: “What are you smiling at? Go change quickly.”

She wanted to add that the dress was thin and she might catch cold, but didn’t say it. She had to maintain her image.

Jiang Qiao softly replied: “Okay.”

Leaving the changing room, Jiang Qiao was heading to watch her class’s performance.

“Excuse me.”

Jiang Qiao looked up at the boy in front of her, wearing what seemed to be Seventeenth High’s uniform. He looked familiar.

Meeting Jiang Qiao’s gaze, Xia Chen’an’s prepared words got stuck in his throat, his heart racing.

Jiang Qiao remembered him, her tone slightly uncertain: “Have we… met?”

Xia Chen’an tried to calm his pounding heart: “At the bookstore, we’ve met twice.”

Jiang Qiao recalled: “Didn’t you help me get a book?”

Xia Chen’an nodded: “Yes.” His palms were sweaty from nervousness: “It’s really fate to meet you here again.”

Jiang Qiao said: “Indeed.” Then fell silent.

Just as Xia Chen’an worried he’d killed the conversation, she spoke: “I’m going to my class now.”

All he could say was: “Okay.”

Luo Xing waved to her: “Qiao Qiao, sit here.”

Jiang Qiao sat next to Luo Xing, with Xu Si and Yang Shikun behind them.

Luo Xing was excited: “That boy just now was really handsome, but he’s not from our school. Do you know each other? I saw him talking to you.”

Jiang Qiao answered honestly: “Met twice at the bookstore. Just now he looked familiar, and I remembered when he mentioned it.”

Luo Xing sighed: “Fate is amazing, when will I run into such a handsome guy?”

Jiang Qiao smiled: “On the street.”

Their conversation reached Xu Si’s ears completely, making him pause his game of Eliminate. The little traditionalist was really innocent. It was clearly flirting. She seemed completely unaware.

Jiang Qiao suddenly remembered something and turned to Xu Si: “When is your race?”

“This afternoon.”

Jiang Qiao nodded.

Xu Si: “What? Worried I won’t finish?”

“No.”

Xu Si smiled at this.

Yang Shikun spoke proudly: “Scholar Jiang, you don’t know how many people were asking about the girl in the white dress after the formation. Haha, I wanted to shout through a megaphone that you’re the face of Class 17!”

Jiang Qiao smiled, and Yang Shikun continued: “Scholar Jiang looks absolutely stunning in white. I’m not saying you don’t look good in uniform, Scholar Jiang, but the white dress really suits you, right, Si-ge?”
