It was almost the end of the month. On Saturday, October 31st, they had arranged to meet at the bubble tea shop at 3 PM. Xu Si left at 2:10 PM, wearing a black hoodie with a matching jacket and black pants. Just as he was about to leave, Yuan Yuan ran out and jumped onto his shoulder. Xu Si looked at it and asked, “What? Want to come along?” Yuan Yuan meowed a few times, so Xu Si took it with him.
He put on his helmet and got on his motorcycle, his clothes billowing in the wind. After riding for a short distance, his phone rang. He pulled over to the right side of the road and answered. “Brother Si, I’m cornered by some people, about a dozen of them. They want to beat me up.” “Where are you?” “In that old alley near Shuixiang Street.” Xu Si checked the time – fifty minutes left. He sent Jiang Qiao a message.
[Xu Si]: No lesson today.
He rode quickly, his clothes fluttering in the wind. When he arrived, he saw Yang Shikun’s face was already bruised. Yang Shikun looked at Xu Si like he was seeing a savior: “Brother Si.”
The leader, a man with rainbow-colored hair, looked at Xu Si with interest. He grabbed Yang Shikun and sneered, “What a useless piece of trash, making two calls just to get one person. Looking down on me?” Yang Shikun spat at him.
Just as the man was about to slap Yang Shikun, Xu Si grabbed his hand and kicked him in the abdomen. The man got up from the ground, looked at Xu Si, and said, “Interesting, very interesting.”
Yang Shikun was pulled behind Xu Si: “Brother Si, Da Tou is far away, it’ll take him some time to get here, and they have sticks and knives.” The young man’s expression was cold, emotionless. He glanced at Yang Shikun: “It’s fine.”
Xu Si was fighting against multiple opponents. He was inevitably at a disadvantage. His face was stained with blood, and his hands were cut in several places. With so many people, Xu Si was knocked to the ground for a moment. Yang Shikun watched with his heart in his throat. Xu Si got up from the ground and immediately punched the leader.
The leader didn’t gain any advantage. He had never seen someone like this before – someone who fought like they didn’t care about their own life. Xu Si’s backup arrived quickly; they were students from Sixth High who followed him. They called out to him: “Brother Si, we’re here.”
Xu Si looked at Yang Shikun: “Go hide over there for now.” Yang Shikun watched from the side as Xu Si fought alongside the others. Xu Si’s fighting style was fierce. When someone tried to hit him with a steel rod, Xu Si kicked it away, picked it up, and used it against them.
Hao Ming also rushed to the scene. He ran from the taxi, looked at Yang Shikun and said: “I’ll go help Brother Si first, don’t run off.” He threw his jacket to Yang Shikun.
Xu Si kicked away a man in front of him, then warned Hao Ming to be careful, but got hit by a rod himself – right where he was injured before. Xu Si sucked in a cold breath, then used his elbow to knock that person to the ground.
The rainbow-haired leader, called Brother Gen, was already beaten to a pulp. He pulled out a knife from his pocket and stabbed towards Xu Si’s arm. Xu Si couldn’t completely dodge it, and his arm was cut. He turned around, his eyes flashing coldly, then kicked Brother Gen to the ground. Playing with the knife, he stared at the man’s lower body and said coldly: “Fond of knives, are you?”
Brother Gen shook his head frantically: “No, I don’t like knives.” Xu Si smiled: “You seemed to like them quite a bit just now.”
Brother Gen started to panic. He had thought a student wouldn’t know any powerful people, but seeing Xu Si, he realized this was no ordinary student. His eyes carried a fierce aura, his expression was cold, his gaze filled with ice and contempt for life, as if he might stab him at any moment.
Xu Si played with the knife for a while, then aimed it at his groin. “Ahhh!” The leader closed his eyes and screamed in terror. He must be crazy. He couldn’t be just a student. After screaming, he realized there was no pain – Xu Si hadn’t actually stabbed him.
Xu Si looked at him with disdain, his tone cold: “Want to continue?” Brother Gen shook his head frantically: “No, no, I’ll apologize to your friend, I won’t bother him again.”
Yang Shikun limped over: “Brother Si, they’ve been bullying my cousin for a long time. My cousin is really well-behaved and gets good grades, but these beasts made him too scared to go to school. I tried to reason with them, but they cornered me.”
“Is that so?” Brother Gen saw Xu Si’s expression and fearfully shrunk his neck: “That student didn’t have much money, I only asked him for money a few times.”
“You’re lying! You took all my cousin’s pocket money, and now he’s too scared to go to school.” Brother Gen didn’t dare speak.
Xu Si looked down at him: “However much you took, pay it back, apologize to his cousin, and if I see you guys doing this kind of thing again…” He gave Brother Gen a look.
Brother Gen shook his head desperately: “Never again, never again, we’ll apologize to his cousin on Monday.”
“Get lost.” Brother Gen and his followers scrambled away. Damn it. They’d never mess with students again. This guy was completely insane.
Yang Shikun saw Xu Si’s injuries: “Brother Si, your arm was cut just now, should we go to the hospital?” “No need.” Xu Si took out his phone and looked at it. It was over. It was already past 4 PM. It would probably be 5 PM by the time he got there.
“Brother Si, but your arm is bleeding.” Xu Si saw that Jiang Qiao hadn’t replied to his message, not knowing if she was still waiting there. He put his phone in his pocket and said to Yang Shikun and Hao Ming: “I have something else to do.” He looked at their injuries again: “Remember to go to the hospital.”
“What about you, Brother Si?” “We’ll talk later.” Xu Si left on his motorcycle.
When he arrived at the bubble tea shop, it was already past 5 PM. Through the glass, he couldn’t see that figure. Had Little Miss Proper thought he wasn’t going to study and therefore didn’t reply to his message? He pushed open the door, startling the shop employee. He was quite dirty, his black clothes covered in dust, his face stained with blood, looking fierce.
“Did a girl come here around 3 PM today? About this tall, looks very well-behaved…” Before he could finish speaking, he heard someone call his name from behind: “Xu Si.”
