Mint in the Rain – Epilogue 1

On their wedding day.

Shu He was pulled out of bed at five in the morning to get her makeup done, and remained busy until eleven at night when the last guests finally left.

After a full day of exhaustion, a warm bath helped her relax a bit.

She changed into a nightgown and sat cross-legged on the fluffy carpet, excitedly opening red envelopes and gifts.

Jing Yi came out of the bathroom with his hair still damp. He embraced her from behind, his cool cheek pressed against her soft one, and cold water droplets fell onto her collarbone, silently sliding into the snowy valley of her chest.

Shu He, focused on unwrapping gifts, casually kissed his cheek and asked him to sit beside her: “Let’s open these together.”

Jing Yi obediently sat cross-legged next to her, watching as she opened bright red envelope after envelope, looking like a money-obsessed shopkeeper growing happier with each one.

She shot him a playful glance: “Of course I’m happy receiving gifts and red envelopes.”

He chuckled quietly to himself, nodding in agreement.

Besides red envelopes, Liang Xu and Ni Sui had also gifted them… an imported coffee machine.

Shu He was momentarily confused, exclaiming: “What a coincidence! I was just thinking about replacing the coffee machine.”

Jing Yi maintained a composed expression: “Good gift on his part.”

What Shu He didn’t know was that when Liang Xu had asked what gift he wanted, Jing Yi had thought for a moment, then shamelessly named a specific coffee machine brand.

Shu He had recently mentioned wanting to replace the one in her shop, so he didn’t hesitate to extort this from Liang Xu.

Though for a big boss like Liang, a coffee machine wasn’t a significant expense.

At the time, Liang Xu had rolled his eyes: “How did you become so shameless after getting married?”

He had feigned innocence: “A boss who doesn’t buy coffee machines for employees isn’t a good boss.”

“…”

There was also a note in the red envelope. Jing Yi could imagine Liang Xu grinding his teeth while writing it—

“After your honeymoon, you owe me ten songs!!”

He raised an eyebrow and quietly tucked away the note, pretending he hadn’t seen it.

Shu He was now opening Xiang Lanye’s gift. She made a curious sound, and Jing Yi looked over. When they saw what the gift was, both fell into a long silence.

This was clearly not an ordinary flight chess game.

Their eyes met in the quiet air. His dark eyes gleamed with interest: “Tired?”

Actually, she felt fine. Maybe they could play for a while?

Having not played games for a long time, both were quite enthusiastic.

Shu He rolled the dice first. After moving two spaces, the instruction showed: Take off one piece of clothing.

This should have been the simplest task, but she had just bathed and was only wearing a thin strapped nightgown without a bra. If she took it off, she’d be left with just lace panties.

Seeing her momentary dismay, his lips curved slightly upward, his dark eyes twinkling: “Darling, you’re not going to cheat right at the beginning, are you?”

Shu He let out a little snort. If she’d known they’d be playing this game, she would have layered up.

But glancing at his pajamas, she realized that if he had to remove clothing, he’d still have bottoms after taking off his top. Unlike her, who would be completely exposed with just one item removed.

She wanted him to take off both pieces.

Jing Yi raised an eyebrow, unusually fair: “No can do, sister. We have to follow the game rules, no cheating.”

“…”

Shu He wasn’t one to back down from a challenge. She pulled up her nightgown and took it off. Under the bright light, her snow-white skin glowed smooth, her slender waist easily encircled by hands, and her chestnut hair subtly concealed her fullness. Being so blatantly and hotly stared at by him, her pale feet instinctively curled, one hand attempting to cover herself.

The contrast against the dark carpet was striking, like a goddess fallen to earth.

“Hurry up.”

Even for someone as composed as her, being completely exposed to his gaze made her uncomfortable, despite their countless intimate entanglements, despite him being her husband.

Jing Yi felt his mouth going dry. He swallowed and casually tossed the dice.

The blue piece jumped over her piece, landing ahead of her.

Instead of having to remove clothing as Shu He had hoped, it was something that made her heart race even more—lick the other person’s entire body.

“…”

The level of intimacy escalated dramatically.

Shu He widened her eyes: “Is this punishing me or rewarding you?”

He smiled lightly, already at her side, his arms encircling her soft, slender waist, his warm breath causing a tingling sensation: “Sister, are you ready?”

“I’m about to start completing my task.”

“…”

As a player who strictly followed game rules, he truly didn’t miss a single spot.

Some time later, Shu He felt her entire body wet and sticky. Though they hadn’t done anything, it felt like every inch of her had been gently nibbled.

After taking a sip of water, his lips were red and glistening with moisture, looking soft and very kissable.

Meeting her gaze, he smiled innocently: “Satisfied?”

“…”

Satisfied to overflowing inside.

Shu He took his cup and drank some water. After calming herself, she rolled the dice, which tumbled to a stop on one side.

The red piece landed gently on two hearts—kiss for ten minutes.

Now he seemed displeased: “Wife, why are your tasks always so simple?”

Shu He laughed softly. She held his shoulders and expertly straddled him, cupping his face and kissing him: “Stop talking.”

He hadn’t removed any clothing, yet held her naked form in his arms, his large hands firmly imprinted on her snow-white jade-like skin. In the silent bedroom, only the sound of their kissing remained.

The ten-minute alarm rang punctually.

His dark eyes surged with desire as he stared at her moist, red lips. When she was about to move away, his hand on her waist tightened slightly, while his other hand moved up to hold her delicate neck, unwilling to let her go, and kissed her again.

His soft tongue swept away the glimmer at the corner of her lips. Shu He felt as if she were being devoured by his burning gaze.

They kissed for another ten minutes before stopping.

It was Jing Yi’s turn. By now he was somewhat distracted, casually tossing the dice, which landed right by Shu He’s feet.

One step, two steps, three steps, four steps—”Orally pleasure him/her until they climax once.”

“…”

Shu He swallowed dryly. She instinctively tried to back away, but was pulled by the ankle—

He knelt there with a docile smile at the corner of his lips, approaching her step by step, and finally bowed down with utmost reverence.

Fortunately, she practiced yoga regularly, so the opening and stretching positions were similar.

With a pillow cushioning her waist, looking down slightly, all she could see was his soft, slightly wet black hair and his bony hands preventing her escape. Shu He’s gaze fell hazily on his wrist, where he still wore the red string bracelet she had given him.

The bright red against his snow-white skin created a strangely powerful impact. She closed her eyes, moaning softly like a kitten whose vital point had been seized.

Midway through, Shu He removed his cold glasses.

After an indeterminate amount of time, apart from his lips, his palm seemed to be wrapped in wet gauze, crystal clear.

Watching him gently smell his hand, Shu He felt her blood stirring throughout her body, and kicked him in annoyance.

This gesture was too perverted, and somewhat obscene.

He went to the bathroom to wash his hands and rinse his mouth. When he returned, he saw she was holding the dice but hadn’t rolled yet.

He raised an eyebrow: “Sister, you haven’t cheated and rolled while I was gone, have you?”

“…I did not.”

Shu He had indeed already rolled, but since he hadn’t seen it, Jing Yi nodded indulgently. At this point in the game, he still hadn’t removed a single piece of clothing.

This time, she finally landed on a position advantageous to her.

Looking at her hand, with the experience from her previous impulsiveness, Shu He felt somewhat excited.

He leaned back on his hands, tilting his head, looking harmless: “How do you plan to play with me?”

Before she even touched him, Shu He’s palms were sweating.

She had no technique, manipulating him like she was kneading clay.

The only difference was, clay is soft.

Jing Yi suspected she was getting revenge, feeling like he was being tortured to death. After a long, wet kiss, he buried his face in the crook of her neck, his voice hoarse with sensual breathlessness, begging softly: “Sister.”

“Wife.”

“Sss—”

“Faster, please?”

“…”

Though she was playing with him, it felt like a fire had been lit within her too.

While washing her hands, she saw in the mirror that her body was flushed pink.

Surprisingly, the game had been going on for over an hour.

When she came out, she saw that Jing Yi had unbuttoned two buttons of his collar. They had drunk several glasses of water, and the bedroom was permeated with heat. He raised his hand to lower the air conditioning temperature further.

It was now one in the morning.

Shu He wrapped herself in a towel. He raised an eyebrow, drawling with a still-hoarse voice: “Sister, you’re cheating.”

She pretended not to hear, sat cross-legged, and asked: “Still want to play?”

He leaned back lazily on his hands: “Yes.”

This time it was his turn to roll, but the moment he did, Shu He’s heart began to race, like standing on a high platform about to bungee jump—excited, nervous, as if her heart would burst from her chest.

Without protection.

From behind.

They had many condoms at home and always used them, having agreed not to have children for two years.

Seeing her silence, Jing Yi voluntarily said: “I forfeit.”

Shu He paused, looking at the number at the end of the task—ten strokes.

She had to admit she was tempted. As an adult woman, desiring sexual intimacy was perfectly normal.

Especially after an hour of mutual teasing.

Especially since they were husband and wife, with a legitimate relationship.

She didn’t agree immediately, licking her dry lips and glancing at his lips, testing: “Can you hold back from… you know?”

“…”

The ambiguous middle word made Jing Yi feel challenged.

Just ten strokes.

Who was she insulting?

He leaned forward to embrace her: “Really okay?”

Leaning against her like this, his warm breath falling on her, with his obedient questioning appearance, made her increasingly unable to resist.

She nodded, but provocatively added in a gentle tone: “Of course, don’t force yourself if you can’t handle it.”

“…”

They rarely did it from behind.

Let alone for the first time—completely unhindered.

Shu He completely lost count of the strokes. She only felt her scalp tingling, as if a white light flashed past.

The game somehow ended, and in the moment of emptiness that followed, she heard the sound of a package being torn open.

He had only been away for a few seconds. After re-entering, he held her chin and turned her face for a kiss.

After a game, their wedding night truly began.

Perhaps because they had drunk too much water earlier, the festive red bed was in disarray.

Shu He was drifting off to sleep when her cheek was kissed.

She was too tired to open her eyes. Jing Yi placed the wedding gift on her bedside table, then embraced her from behind again.

“Sister, happy wedding day.”

Shu He drowsily squeezed his hand, unconsciously murmuring as if in a dream: “Happy wedding day…”
